Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No.427 of the 23rd November, 1932, regarding
courses at the Marconi Company's College at Chelmsford,
and to express my thanks for the facilities which the
Company has been so good as to offer.
2.
As regards the number of officers for whom the
facilities would be asked, the Electrical Engineer does
not recall having fixed this at one per year and in the
present year it is hoped that two, Messrs. Boast and
Brailsford in addition to Mr. Kemp will be enabled
to take the course. It is not, however, suggested that
the College should take more than one Hong Kong officer
at one time and the leaves of the officers concerned
have been fixed accordingly, Mr. Kemp being about to

return, Mr. Boast commencing his leave in March (my
A PF. despatch No.44 of the 23rd January, 1933) and Mr. Brailsford
in July.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient, humble servant,
Live
Governor, &c.
SIR P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER, G.B.E., M.C., M.P.,
